Skills and Knowledge for tomorrow’s business world

NMIT has been offering a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) since 1993. The current qualification, remodelled in 2019, builds upon years of successful delivery and ongoing industry engagement in response to the ever-changing business environment. We are committed to ensuring our Bachelor of Commerce remains applied and relevant to modern business needs, with regular updates to learning resources to reflect the current and future business environment.

The programme takes the opportunity to employ a range of applied learning activities e.g. project/problem-based learning, simulated business scenarios, flipped learning and case studies. This ensures our learners are ready to hit the ground running when they graduate.

Specialise in management or marketing with electives in law, human resource management, logistics, international business, and more.

In addition to the specialist skills and knowledge students will develop during the programme, students will gain a range of professional skills, including:

  • effective communication
  • managing yourself and working collaboratively
  • problem-solving using creative and innovative thinking
  • building and developing business relationships
  • professional and ethical behaviour

You will gain these skills and business knowledge in your chosen area of interest and have the opportunity to practise in real-life scenarios in a safe environment.
