Peng is one of our Applied Business kaiako (tutors) here at NMIT.
He has teaching experience at the University of Otago and Shanghai Maritime University, teaching subjects from business data analysis to supply chain operations. Peng has also supervised Master’s research projects in supply chain resilience and cross-cultural management.
Originally from China, Peng has an international academic background spanning Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. His interest in global systems and trade led him to study international logistics and digital project management, and ultimately to complete a PhD in Management at the University of Otago.
His research focuses on digital transformation, blockchain adoption, and supply chain systems, particularly within the maritime and logistics industries.

His research interests include digital transformation in supply chains, organisational learning, sustainability, and emerging technologies in logistics. Peng actively presents at academic conferences and collaborates internationally.
He enjoys teaching because it allows him to connect research with real-world impact.
In his free time, Peng enjoys watching movies and hiking.
