Pink Shirt Day is an annual event in Aotearoa that aims to reduce bullying by celebrating diversity and supporting communities to be safe, welcoming, and inclusive. At NMIT, we're celebrating with events at our Nelson, Richmond and Blenheim campuses.

At NMIT, we're celebrating Pink Shirt Day(external link) for the whole week!

So dig out your best pink clothing and join us as we speak up and stand together to stop bullying.

We are running learner events at our Nelson, Richmond and Marlborough campuses, with yummy treats up for grabs and a range of fun and inclusive activities to enjoy, including:

  • Music, activations and competitions
  • Rocky Road ice-cream and Pinky bar giveaways
  • Pink Shirt Day group photo frame
  • Go in the draw to win a Pink Shirt Day prize pack
  • and most importantly - let's all wear pink!


Where and when to join in the fun:

Marlborough: (Woodbourne learners, please come along too)
Tuesday 12 May, 12-1pm in the green space (E Block if raining).

Richmond: Wednesday 13 May, 12.30-1pm in the Student Centre. 

Nelson: Thursday 14 May, 12-1pm outside Ake Ake cafe.
