The Government response is currently at Phase 1
At Phase 1, our focus is on maintaining service to learners, while being practical about travel and fuel use. This is about calm preparation and early planning rather than major change, and about ensuring that NMIT is doing all we can to support both learners and staff during the current fuel supply disruption.
NMIT fuel supply response - Phase 1
Phase 1 is about keeping a watch on the fuel situation, staying calm and planning early rather than major change. NMIT leadership are working to make sure we are doing all we can to support our learners and staff during the current fuel supply situation.
At this stage, we are still operating at business as usual and starting to prepare, plus planning to support learners and staff where needed. Should we get there, Phase 2 would be more explicit regarding any need for change.
At Phase 1, NMIT is actively planning and preparing our response to the fuel supply disruption, with a focus on the following areas:
