Every Tuesday lunchtime Susie and her trained therapy dog Bella are on campus meeting and greeting students.

Having a trained therapy dog is a new NMIT wellbeing initiative for learners on the Marlborough Campus.

Bella is especially popular with Supported Living and Foundation learners, and she brings plenty of calm, connection and smiles to campus.

Whether learners are confident around dogs or feeling a little unsure, Bella’s visits offer a relaxed way to connect, take a break and enjoy some time with a friendly therapy dog.

Bella is always on a lead, with Susie close by to support safe and positive interactions.
