Are you looking to enhance your te reo skills and become more confident in using the language in your daily life? This program is designed to provide a complete immersion experience for those who already have a good understanding of te reo Māori.

Ākonga ngā tikanga o te reo māori. Aro atu ki tōna wetewete, tōna kounga. 

Intended for emergent speakers of te reo Māori with an advanced understanding and ability, you will advance to the next level with full-immersion learning, Kia tika, kia rere, kia Māori.

You will learn:

  • Ngā Aitua (national disasters)
  • Research into Waka, Mōteatea, Māori folklore, traditional and contemporary stories 
  • Reo ōkawa (formal language) 
  • Composing karakia and waiata 
  • Karakia (prayer)
  • Waiata (songs)
  • Whakataukī (proverbs) 
  • Kīwaha (sayings) 

If you have not studied te reo Māori with us before you will need to come in for an interview so we can make sure you are studying at the right level for you.
