Future of Work is a free 1-day expo designed to help rangatahi and other potential learners to discover pathways into tertiary education, trades, and local industries. Whether you have a clear plan or no idea what’s next, this is a chance to get informed, ask questions, and feel inspired.

📢 Mark your calendars! - Wednesday 10 June

The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce is working alongside event partners Marlborough District Council, Marlborough Girls' College and Marlborough Boys' College to coordinate the event, which will take place on Wednesday 10 June at the Marlborough Events Centre.

How the day works:

  • 10am-3pm: School groups attend during the day
  • 3pm-6pm: Open to all young people and their whānau

The afternoon session is for anyone who wants to come along - including those not in school, learning in different ways, or keen to return with family and explore more together. Everyone is welcome.

Future of Work gives you a chance to connect with representatives from education providers and meet local employers from 40+ industries, all in one place. It’s a great opportunity to have real conversations about study options, training, and career pathways, both in Marlborough and further afield.

NMIT will, of course, have a stand that everyone simply must visit! There will be giveaways and copies of our brand-new prospectus (hot off the press!), with lots of friendly NMIT faces from our Events, Marketing, Industry, Scholarships and Demand teams, as well as kaimahi representing our amazing Programme Areas.

Events like this one are a valuable chance to connect with current and prospective students, showcase our programmes, and bring what we offer at NMIT to life in an engaging way.

Free entry, all welcome - plus there are some great prizes to be won.

We hope to see you there!
