If you are an athlete, a parent or coach of an athlete - this course will give you some useful fundamental skills.

On this course you will learn the basics of managing athletes.

You will gain introductory skills in:

  • Training
  • Massage
  • Warm up
  • Injury management and strapping
  • Basic nutrition for sportspeople
  • Athlete injury management
  • Planning for athletes

The sessions will be practical demonstrations, class, gym and sideline activities - with some take home theory to apply.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Work with and support athletes as they train
  • Lead warm ups
  • Manage sideline injuries
  • Describe basics of nutrition for sports people
  • Manage minor injury and rehabilitations plans
  • Complete basic strapping of a joint
  • Be able to do basic massage techniques
