NMIT offers a New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 3) which prepares you for entry- level employment or pathway into either the New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Level 4), or New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Level 4). 

The Level 4 programmes are for students who have secured an apprenticeship in the industry. These programmes will ensure you acquire the required knowledge and skills necessary to become trade qualified.

All of these certificate programmes are eligible for fees-free for domestic students under the Targeted Training Apprenticeship Fund
