In this course students will develop and apply knowledge of the common parts, equipment and seamen ship skills to enable them to contribute to the safe operations and navigation of a vessel. They will be able to identify the structure, purpose and uses of ropes and tackle on a vessel and will be able to describe the processes for berthing and for anchoring.
