We are excited to welcome our new ākonga (students) to NMIT with a special Mihi Whakatau - a traditional Māori welcome that acknowledges and embraces new members of our learning community.
This is a time for building connections. Our kaimahi (staff) will formally welcome you and introduce you to your new learning environment.
🕥 10:45 a.m. – Learners to meet us in the Marlborough Research Centre Atrium to be seated.
🕚 11:00 a.m. – Whakatau begins, led by our kaikōrero (speakers).
🎶 Waiata Tautoko – Staff will sing Purea Nei in support.
🙏 Closing Karakia – To conclude the formal welcome.

🎓 Students return to class after the Whakatau.
