Aviation Engineering
You'll have the opportunity to work on real aircrafts at RNZAF Base Woodbourne when you study aircraft engineering with us.
The majority of your training will take place at the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Base in Woodbourne - just a short drive from Blenheim, where you'll have access to some fantastic facilities and be able to put theory into practice with real aircraft.
Facilities on the Base include:
- Two classrooms with workshops attached, plus RNZAF classrooms
- Workshops - NMIT 3 Bay workshop, RNZAF Machine workshop, Gas Turbine workshop, Structures and Hydraulics workshops
- Aircraft you'll be working with include Bell UH-1 and Robinson 22 helicopters and Seneca fixed-wing aircraft.
You'll also study some of your theory at classrooms at the NMIT Marlborough campus in Blenheim.
