Internship with Study

An internship is a great opportunity to gain real world knowledge, demonstrate and acquire skills, grow confidence and receive a reference to help you in your search for employment.

Please note: The Internship with Study is not part of your coursework for your qualification. You must apply for this separately through the Internship Coordinator, and complete this outside of your study.

If you are an international student studying on the following programmes, then you may be eligible to apply for an internship during or after you complete your studies at NMIT.

  • Graduate Diploma in Information Technology, Management, Marketing or Accounting
  • Bachelor’s Degree students on programmes that do not already include a paid or unpaid work placement*. Students must be in their third year (or studying Level 7 courses) and be studying full time.
  • Postgraduate Diploma programmes, except students on the Postgraduate Diploma in IT Security Management, or on a programme that already includes a paid or unpaid work placement*.

*Work placements are part of the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Counselling, Bachelor of Viticulture and Winemaking and Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Aquaculture. These programmes are not eligible for the Internship with Study offer.
