The course will cover:

  • Introduction to pest control
  • Introduction to task specifications
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Applying task specifications and selected control methods
  • Safe handling sheets for pesticides, labels, and safety data sheets
  • Complying with legal controls on pesticides
  • Hazard classifications and adverse effects of pesticides
  • Precautions and emergency procedures
  • Overview of other traps and pesticides

While this course is aimed at people who carry out fieldwork, it does not cover pest control design for a site or operational planning of selected control methods.
