To develop basic spreadsheet skills using the Excel program thereby enabling students to use this program effectively in their workplace and to an intermediate level.

This course is run over 3 weeks, on our Marlborough campus.

You'll learn

  • Produce computer spreadsheets that include inputting text and numbers, and formulae.
  • Use a standard spreadsheet application that includes the formatting of a spreadsheet, the use of with absolute and relative referencing.
  • Link spreadsheet and other spreadsheet worksheets.
  • Create and use templates.
  • Use various statistical, logical, financial functions.
  • Filter and sort data in a spreadsheet.
  • Series fill with Autofill and Flashfill.
  • Use Trace Precedents and Trace Dependents
