Students will learn the basic skills / techniques used to draft their own individually fitted jacket block.
This workshop will involve drafting a jacket pattern from scratch for individual body measurements. Jackets will then be fitted and altered (if required). Students will go on to create / style the collar and revere along with the two-piece sleeve block. Tailoring techniques will be used throughout.

Students will draft a fitted jacket. Learning both tailored pattern drafting and construction techniques. They will also learn why such techniques are used and how it applies to the body when 'fitting' (for both comfort and movement of the jacket when worn). Individually fitting their jackets to achieve the best fit for themselves.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Using direct demonstrations for the students to follow, along with handouts and individual advice, as needed each step of the way. Always allowing a student to work at their individual pace to ensure retention of ideas / techniques as suits them. If needed, approaching the learning objective from another angle to ensure understanding.
