Learn fundamental pattern cutting skills while creating block patterns

You'll create an individually fitted skirt block and learn the various techniques to alter this block pattern to any chosen design / style.

You'll then proceed onto developing your individually fitted bodice and sleeve blocks which will be able to be used for creating dresses, tops and blouses, etc.

Depending on your progress, this may be developed further with additional styling if time permits.

What you'll learn

  • To develop fundamental pattern cutting skills while creating block patterns that fit you individually.
  • How to fit others and how to alter patterns to fit yourself
  • A basic understanding of cutting patterns in fabric and a few construction tips along the way. 
  • The skills to use a block pattern and then draft it further into a design of your choice.
