On successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  • Develop a robust research methodology for a specific research plan.
  • Review and scope a range of peer-reviewed literature and align a research manuscript with the relevant publication.
  • Frame the research manuscript for maximizing the relevance and/or impact for the desired audience.
  • Submit a research manuscript in the appropriate form for peer-reviewed publication.
  • Critically evaluate their learning.

Applicants must have completed RES711 Research Principles, Planning and Practice OR Equivalent knowledge and skills All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students whose first language is not English must have: An international English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic score of at least 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in each band) issued within the last two years or equivalent. In exceptional circumstances an applicant who does not meet the academic requirements may be granted entry to the programme. They must supply evidence to satisfy the Academic Committee of their ability to succeed on the programme. It is strongly recommended that students are employed in a tertiary education academic role and are able to competently utilise digital applications and technologies at an advanced level, and have access to same.
