Wine sensory room opening

Viticulture and Winemaking students benefit from new wine sensory room designed for evaluation of wine.

Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT)'s Marlborough Campus now has a dedicated wine sensory room. The room has optimal white light, neutral air with the absence of foreign aromas and is in a quiet dedicated location making it perfect for students wishing to evaluate wine.

It is not only students who will be able to benefit from the new facility however. The sensory room can also be used for research purposes, trials, consumer preference testing and is also available to hire for promotional purposes.

The room was officially opened at an event on October 7 held in conjunction with The Marlborough Chamber of Commerce as part of the Business After Five series.
