Industrial Design project, completed as part of the Bachelor of Arts and Media
I have been working with Grocare Furniture to design a conceptual folding, nesting and height adjustable table for Early Childhood Education (ECE). The purpose of this product is to offer greater, more adaptable learning opportunities within early childhood spaces. I have conducted field research to give me a greater understanding of the functioning of preschool centres, and what is required for a table to offer greater value to the teachers, and the children.
The design is in keeping with the distinct Scandinavian style Grocare have come to be known for. This includes the use of renewable materials such as birch ply wood and metals, which are being used to form a robust and safe design.
