As usual, the standard is expected to be high.
The theme this year is Warrior Goddess.
30 students, ranging in age from 18 to 50 from year’s one and two on NMIT’s hairdressing programmes are taking part.
Hairdressing Programme Coordinator, Zaley Gill, says there are always surprises in the styles produced. “The students are pushing themselves and there’ll be a big sense of achievement once the judging is over.”
“The moment we say ‘competition’ the tension starts to build. But I tell them the first five minutes of the competition are the worst. After that, they’ll forget that people are around and just get into their zone.”
The students will be hard at work in the G block foyer - watch the hairstyles develop before your eyes.
