SANITI (Student Association)

SANITI - Ensuring a fair deal for Students

SANITI is the student voice for all NMIT students. It is a student owned and run organisation that provides representation, advocacy and services for its members. It is the first point of call for help and advice on anything and everything.

What is SANITI?

Student Association of the Nelson-Marlborough Institute of Technology Incorporated (SANITI) is you! SANITI BBQ

The students are the reason for the existence of SANITI. You have consistent input through the class representation system and have ultimate decision-making power in the association through General Meetings.

From 1999 to 2001, despite the efforts of a few valiant volunteers, there was no Student Association at NMIT. In March 2002 students at NMIT voted to establish a compulsory Student Association. SANITI was registered as an Incorporated Society in August 2002.
