Can you handle it?
Have you got the outdoors attitude, the smile
and a passion for people?
If you answered yes and love
missions in the sun, wind, rain and snow, the Canada New Zealand Double Challenge is where you
should be coming next! We are looking
for people who live the big outdoors adventure, get a buzz out of sharing their passion and now
want to learn the craft of professional outdoor guiding in two of the greatest wilderness locations
the world has to offer. On the Canada-New Zealand double challenge, we take your talent and
energy into the wilderness at Golden, British Columbia
and into the outdoor playground across the top of the south island of Nelson, New Zealand.
On the double challenge in Canada
you will train with some of the best professional outdoor adventure guides in the
world in skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing, dog sledding and snow caving.
You'll spend eight action packed weeks in nature’s wilderness classroom on
Kicking
Horse Mountain, waist deep in adventure and
excitement. This is real adventure at the College of the Rockies in Golden British
Columbia. On the Double Challenge in New Zealand the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology
turns your wilderness classroom into the white water of the might Buller River and the blue ocean of the Abel Tasman
and Marlborough Sounds. Spend eight weeks in the heart of three
internationally renowned national parks to become proficient in white water rafting and sea
kayaking skills so you can max out your adventure tourism
credentials… There are two entry points for the Double
Challenge. You can choose to complete one or both
segments:
- Golden BC, Canada Double Challenge Programme starts 5
January 2009, 8 weeks
- Nelson, New Zealand Double Challenge Programme starts 9 March 2009, 8
weeks
