This programme will give you detailed knowledge and understanding of the business environment in which tourism operates, as well as polished professional frontline and supervisory skills for work in industry. Environmentally sensitive tourism within New Zealand is a focus throughout the programme, creating commitment in future tourism operators to sustainable tourism development.
The programme is structured into sixteen 15-credit courses that can be studied either full time or part time. Part time study would be appropriate for people already working in the industry who wish to up skill and continue employment.

The NMIT School of Tourism, Hospitality and Wellbeing has over the years developed strong links with leading Tourism/ Travel and Hospitality operators all over New Zealand. Material delivered in the classroom is based on current industry practice, and students have the opportunity to access these operators through their websites, printed material, site visits and work experience as appropriate.
