The School of Tourism, Hospitality and Wellbeing offers a range of programmes relating to tourism, travel, cookery, hospitality, fitness, hair and beauty. All of the programmes in the School emphasise applied learning focusing on delivering service to customers, clients or visitors.

Aspiring adventure guides can choose the Diploma in Adventure Tourism, delivered by experienced tutors with a love of the outdoors. Adventure Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors of the industry and who better to learn it from than people who have been successful guides, operations managers and company owners.
The Diploma in Applied Fitness is a two year programme that is designed to give you a grounding in science, understanding the human body and how it responds to exercise as well as applying this in both individual and group settings. Skills are applied in the NMIT gym as well as in a range of community settings.
The Diploma in Tourism Management provides you with skills and knowledge to work at a supervisory or management level in all sectors of the industry - own your own business or manage somebody else’s in an environmentally sustainable way. The industry needs trained supervisors in a range of different sectors. This programme is also available as an online option. Courses can be studied via NMIT online. This provides excellent flexibility for students and is a great option for people working in industry to upskill on the job.
The Certificate in Tourism and Travel is an exit qualification awarded at the end of the first year of the Diploma in Tourism Management. Students can exit if they wish after one year of study.
