What is Extension?

Extension is a monitored self-access facility in the well-resourced Library Learning Centre next to the English Language Centre.  Here you can focus on particular skills including examination preparation, in an environment where you are also able to access numerous English Language resources including Language Learning software with tutor guidance. 

Extension is an integrated part of your learning programme and the materials in Extension are developed to assist you to build on your classroom work (themes, vocabulary, grammar points etc).  It is possible for students to do extra work on all the skill areas taught in the classroom, e.g. listening, speaking, writing, reading, grammar, vocabulary building and study skills.  There is no additional cost for extension.

Extension is open from Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 5pm.  English language classes also have the full use of extension during scheduled class time.
