Make your decision and apply
Apply online
or download a
printable application form

international@nmit.ac.nz

Remember to include a copy of your passport, certified copies of your academic records, proof of English proficiency, details of any work experience and any additional information required for specific programme entry.
Complete the accommodation requirements of the application form if you need assistance with your accommodation arrangements. A NZ$250 non-refundable accommodation placement charge applies.
Recognition of academic credit. If you already have a professional qualification and previous work experience or other tertiary qualifications and would like to be granted credit exemptions to complete your study in shorter time, please enquire about this service at
international@nmit.ac.nz
when you apply.
NMIT will inform you of our decision
If NMIT accepts your application, we will send you the following acceptance documents:
Offer of Place
Confirmation of Acceptance Form
Notification of Student Fees
International Student Fees, Charges and Refund Policy
International Student Guide
Information on compulsory travel and medical insurance
Accept your offer
Formally accept our offer by returning a signed Confirmation of Acceptance Form and pay the fees outlined in the Notification of Student Fees. Payment may be made by bank draft, cheque, telegraphic transfer or credit card. (Scroll down the page for further details.)
NMIT will confirm your enrolment
After we receive your payment we will then send you:
Receipt documents
Confirmed Offer of Place
You will need to supply these to
New Zealand Immigration
if you are applying for a student visa.
Apply for a visa
You should now be ready to apply for your student visa, using the forms available from your local New Zealand Embassy, High Commission, your agent or the
New Zealand Immigration Service
. Be sure to allow enough time to complete this procedure which can take up to three months.
Book your travel
Allow also enough time to organise your travel to New Zealand and please inform us about your travel arrangements. We look forward to welcoming you to NMIT and our sunny region!
