Diploma in Applied Fitness

During the first year (certificate) you'll gain a good understanding of the body and how it responds to exercise and training. During the second year (diploma), you'll learn to apply this knowledge to all parts of the community in both group and individual settings. The transition from science and knowledge to individual and group application is a key focus of the programme.

You'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge through contributing to fitness programmes in the community and by running the on-campus training gym for NMIT students and staff.
