Horticulture Courses

NMIT offers the National Certificate in Horticulture. The programme is delivered online, with practical work-based components. In addition, weekly seminars and workshops will be held at either Nelson, Marlborough or Richmond campuses. This programme fully prepares graduates for gaining employment in the horticulture industry, parks and recreation, plant nurseries, flower, fruit or vegetable growing enterprises and viticulture.

NMIT’s Primary Industries programmes have a strong focus on “hands on” careers and provide training for some of the region’s key industries. Our staff are well qualified and work closely with industry to ensure that programmes are aligned with industry needs.
