Arts & Media Courses

NMIT Arts and Media School offers a variety of media studies and art classes at diploma and degree level. Or, perhaps, you would just like to try your hand at creative drawing, creative painting or a figure drawing class; you can take your pick from a selection of short courses at the NMIT Art and Design School. Based in a region blessed with stunning natural landscapes, an abundance of sunshine hours and a laid-back lifestyle, you will be able to draw on the same creative influences that have attracted more than 350 working artists to the region. The arts sector is significant to the Top of the South economy, contributing an estimated $25 million annually, and a large proportion of local artists, artisans and designers are graduates from our programmes. Others operate in key roles in arts infrastructure.

The School’s newly redesigned courses foster the development of excellence and innovation in contemporary arts and media, and students are encouraged to exhibit their work at NMIT’s Fishbowl Gallery. Full time, part time or short course options are available.
